Meet Dr. Lale BilginerProfessional Profile:Dr. Bilginer is a licensed clinical psychologist and neuropsychologist with nearly 20 years of training and professional experience in the field of psychology. She currently has private practice locations in Northern NJ and Manhattan and specializes in the evaluation and consultation of children, adolescents, and young adults with an array of learning, developmental, emotional, and medical challenges. She was previously a Clinical Assistant Professor in the Department of Psychiatry at North Shore University HealthSystem, University of Chicago Pritzker School of Medicine where she was also the lead pediatric neuropsychologist for the concussion clinic.
Dr. Bilginer earned her doctoral degree in clinical psychology from Fairleigh Dickinson University. During her training, she gained expertise in clinical populations from renowned medical and psychiatric institutions including Mount Sinai Medical Center, Bellevue Hospital Center, Hackensack University Medical Center, and Four Winds Hospital. She also received merit for her research that has been published in scholarly journals. With a focus on neuropsychology, she completed her pre-doctoral internship and post-doctoral fellowship at the Rusk Institute of Rehabilitation Medicine at NYU Langone Medical Center in NYC where she subsequently served as a supervising and consulting neuropsychologist for the pediatric rehabilitation inpatient unit. She also worked collaboratively with children, their families, and treatment staff and supervised psychology trainees. In addition, Dr. Bilginer was a former supervisor of the Neuropsychological and Psychodiagnostic Testing service at McShane Center for Psychological Services, Pace University in NYC, maintained a part-time private practice, and also taught undergraduate and graduate psychology courses. As well as clinical practice, Dr. Bilginer has regularly presented to professional, teacher, and parent groups through hospital Grand Rounds, didactics, and community presentations on the topics of neuropsychological assessment, learning disorders, and management of behavioral disorders. She is dedicated to continually expanding her knowledge base and keeping up-to-date with advancements in the field through scientific literature, attending professional conferences, and consulting with colleagues and providers in related professions.
